LMWG connects field monitoring, policy analysis, and public advocacy. Each focus area below includes our methodology, what we have achieved so far, and a case highlight drawn from our ongoing work.

Mining Lease Monitoring

Systematic tracking of mining lease applications, approvals, transfers, and renewals across Ghana.

Methodology

We combine registry review, document requests, and field verification to build a credible record of lease decisions and timelines.

Achievements

  • Documented 50+ lease-related decisions and transfers
  • Published summaries where disclosure gaps were identified
  • Supported community requests for information
