Acheampong Baafi-Adomako serves as the Policy and Governance Director at Lands and Mines Watch Ghana. With a professional background in Atmospheric Physics, GIS and Remote Sensing, Engineering and Technology Innovation, he brings a strong scientific and policy-oriented perspective to environmental governance, climate resilience, and extractive sector advocacy. His work focuses on strengthening policy engagement, institutional accountability, environmental compliance, and sustainable resource management while advocating for responsible mining practices and community-centered development. He is passionate about using climate and environmental science, geospatial technologies, and data-driven research to support evidence-based policymaking, environmental protection, and improved governance within Ghana’s extractive industry. Through his leadership, he contributes to advancing citizen participation, transparency, and sustainable development initiatives that promote both environmental integrity and socioeconomic progress.
